My Favourite Beatles Song Is . . . ?
September 6th 2009 23:02
On September 9, 2009, after a nearly 22-year wait, digitally remastered versions of all of the Beatles studio albums will be released.
Each album will feature the track listings and artwork as it was originally released in the U.K. and come with expanded booklets including original and newly written liner notes and rare photos.
For a limited time, each of the Fab Four’s 12 proper albums will be “embedded” with a brief documentary about its making. The rereleases will include the Beatles’ 12 studio albums and Magical Mystery Tour as well as Past Masters Vol. I and II, which will be packaged as one collection.
So the obvious question awaits - which is your favourite Beatles tune of all time?
From Penny Lane, to Let It Be, She Loves You to Revolution - the hits just kept coming and coming and . . . coming.
For mine (and depending on the day - the choice will change trust me) - it was a Harrison penned song - 'Something' which always manages to find itself right up there as far as personal favs are concerned - but would love to hear what you have to say.

Norwegian Wood was the first 'real' song I had to learn on guitar - way back when - so I have a bit of a soft spot for it too.

Nice choice - and one that few - except for fans - would have a ready knowledge of and quite similar in many ways to Til There Was You . . .
Thanks for stopping by.

My favourite is Eleanor Rigby. I love the tune and the words... love the Beatles in general, but that song pops into my head a lot more often than any others by them.

Eleanor Rigby certainly had a feel - and so many messages - mostly personal references to McCartney's own life - yes a classic.

Tough isn't it. Even the almost flippant Maxwell's Silver Hammer had so much going for it.
Of your list - I'd personally plump for The Fool on The Hill followed by From Me to You . . .
