Best Tear Jerker Songs of All Time
January 22nd 2010 05:34
When all you need is somebody that knows what you're feeling, music comes in all shapes and sizes and tear jerkers are no excpetion.
There are some songs that touch the soul in an incredible way.
Songs that get you choked up. Songs that remind you of heartbreak, how bad it was, how lonely it was and maybe even how much you benefited from it.
Music has that power.
There are oldies, there is alternative, there is country, there's R&B. They all have one thing in common - they're all tear jerkers - but which are the best?
With lyrics such as "You coming back to me, is against the odds, and that's what I've gotta face." - Against All Odds - by Phil Collins has gotta be up there.
Perhaps even an MJ classic such as She's Out of My Life where The King of Pop's versatility reached it's sensitive, soft peak in this ballad from 1979's "Off the Wall" album.
So many songs from Titanic " My Heart will go on" through to Honey by Bobby Goldsborough
to How Do I Live - Leann Rimes and Unchained Melody - The Righteous Brothers - but what are your classic tear jerk songs and is there a story behind you choice?
