The Greatest One Hit Wonder of All Time?

1st Clue:
Ooh my little pretty one, pretty one.
If you haven't already guessed - I'll give you another.
Ooh you make my motor run, my motor run.
OK - if you haven't got it by now - you must be a child of the 90's - even then I doubt you wouldn't be familar with the line M M M My Sharona...
The quinessential one hit wonder - The Knack and their enduring My Sharona was released in 1979 from their album Get the Knack was a nothing short of sure fire hit - with its heavy base, hard core yet back to basic beat and unforgettable riff.
Who exactly was Sharona is still a matter of conjecture though according to lead singer/guitarist Doug Fieger the now immortalised girl in question was Sharona Alperin (who was 16 at the time) who inspired a two-month-long run of songwriting.
Fieger has been quoted as saying:
"It was like getting hit in the head with a baseball bat; I fell in love with her instantly. And when that happened, it sparked something and I started writing a lot of songs feverishly in a short amount of time."
Whatever the reason behind it - there's no doubt that while The Knack had ingloriously been touted as the new "Beatles" their rise and fall was quicker than that of the Hindenberg.
The ride was brief - but for many of us the thrill lasts.
