Animals in Song Titles
January 20th 2011 23:47
The Beatles took their name from an animal (well ok, an insect and a misspelled one at that!) so it's perhaps no surprise that they also included animals names in no fewer than 15 of their songs.
Duran Duran has no hesitation in telling the world they were Hungry Like The Wolf, The Rolling Stones had good reason to promote a Little Red Rooster and Elvis and Hound Dogs go almost hand in hand.
Of course America had a Horse with No Name and the B52's had us all wondering exactly what a Rock Lobster really was.
The Cure had some kind of fixation with Love Cats while even Bill Haley thought it best to see that Alligator later.
So many animals, so many bands - mix the two together and you get either a dog of a tune or the bees knees when it comes to music.
So whether you're a fan of having a Cat in Your Cradle or flying on The Wings of An Eagle - what are some of the better known melodic classics you know of featuring animals in their titles.
