The Greatest Band of the 80's was . . . .
June 11th 2009 06:35
The 80's was one of those bizarre - change of seasons period in popular music, where disco met new wave, where rock met transgender pop.
It was a time which saw the death of the so-called 'supergroups' such as The Eagles, Supertramp and the The Doobies replaced with up and coming bands such as U2.
The 80's gave us Devo, A Flock of Seagulls and Wham.
It gave us Boy George, The Travelling Wilbury's and Asia.
It saw the resurgence of Michael Jackson and Pink Floyd.
It offered up Spandau Ballet, Duran Duran and Ultravox.
But who were the best of the best and who were the best of the rest?
